As MLC’s Communications and Social Media Manager, Liz Gullett keeps clients informed and up-to-date on the goings on in Lansing and the Capitol.

Senator Stephanie Chang (D-Detroit) is serving her second term in the Michigan Senate and is the Senate Democratic Policy and Steering Chair and chairs the Civil Rights, Judiciary, and Public Safety Committee. Additionally, she is a member of the following committees: Education; Elections and Ethics; Energy and Environment; Housing and Human Services; and Transportation and Infrastructure.

Before her election to the Senate, Senator Chang served two terms in the Michigan House of Representatives. Prior to her election to the legislature, Senator Chang worked as a community organizer in Detroit, including work with NextGen Climate Michigan, the Center for Progressive Leadership in Michigan, and Michigan United/One United Michigan, among others. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in public policy and social work from the University of Michigan.

She represents the 3rd Senate District, which includes Hamtramck, Hazel Park, Highland Park, Madison Heights, and portions of Clawson, Detroit, Royal Oak, Sterling Heights, Troy, and Warren.
