House Appropriations Chair Named

As MLC’s Communications and Social Media Manager, Liz Gullett keeps clients informed and up-to-date on the goings on in Lansing and the Capitol.

Representative Ann Bollin (R-Brighton) has been selected as chair of the House Appropriations Committee for the 2024 – 2025 term. She previously served on the committee in each of her first three terms in office.

Appropriations Committee:

    • Representative Matt Maddock (R-Milford) was appointed vice chair of the committee.
    • Representative Alabas Farhat (D-Dearborn) was appointed minority vice chair of the committee.
    • The committee oversees the state budget and has purview on spending throughout state government.

Representative Bollin:

    • She was first elected to the Michigan House of Representatives in 2019.
    • Prior to her election to the House, Representative Bollin was the Brighton Township Clerk from 2033 – 2018.
    • She represents the 49th House District, which includes portions of Livingston and western Oakland counties.
