Looking Ahead to the Week of January 27 – February 2, 2024

As MLC’s Communications and Social Media Manager, Liz Gullett keeps clients informed and up-to-date on the goings on in Lansing and the Capitol.

The House and Senate are scheduled to hold their typical Tuesday – Thursday session schedule.

On Tuesday, January 30, special primary elections will be held in the 13th and 25th House Districts.

The Michigan Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission will continue to hold mapping sessions to redraw the seven contested House districts.

All legislation passed during 2023 that didn’t receive immediate effect will take effect on February 12, which is 90 days after the legislature adjourned Sine Die.
