As MLC’s Communications and Social Media Manager, Liz Gullett keeps clients informed and up-to-date on the goings on in Lansing and the Capitol.

Representative Jay DeBoyer (R-Clay) is serving his second term in the Michigan House of Representatives. He currently serves as an associate speaker pro tempore for the 2025-2026 term.

Biography

Prior to his election to the House, he spent 12 years as clerk and register of deeds for St. Clair County. Additionally, Representative DeBoyer served as Clay Township’s trustee and supervisor. He’s been a small business owner since 1994, specializing in engineered lumber.

In August 2026, Congressman John James, and Republican candidate for governor, selected him as his running mate as Lt. Governor.

District

The 63rd House District includes southern St. Clair County and northern Macomb County.
