Representative Ann Bollin (R-Brighton) is serving her fourth term in the Michigan House of Representatives. She was appointed chair of the House Appropriations Committee, which is responsible for crafting the state budget.
Biography
Prior to her election to the House, she was the Brighton Township Clerk for 15 years. Throughout her career, she’s served on the Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Michigan Townships Association Board of Directors (District 25 Director), Michigan Association of Municipal Clerks Legislative Committee and Council of Election Officials (Township Alternate), Livingston County Municipal Clerks Association as Treasurer, and the Livingston Community Water Authority. She has also sat on boards for the Council of State Governments, National Conference of State Legislatures, and Livingston County Catholic Charities. In 2018, she was enrolled in the Brighton Area Women’s History Roll of Honor.
She attended Central Michigan University and studied Recreation Therapy and was a Taubman Fellow at Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government Senior Executives in State and Local Government Program. She is also an alumna of the Michigan Political Leadership Program.
District
Representative Bollin represents the 49th House District, which includes portions of Livingston and western Oakland Counties. It includes the cities of Brighton, Walled Lake, Wixom, and a portion of Novi, as well as Brighton Township, Green Oak Township, and portions of Commerce and Lyon townships.
