Representative Angela WitwerRepresentative Angela Witwer (D-Lansing) serves as Chair of the influential House Appropriations Committee. The committee is responsible for appropriating funding in the state, including the annual budget for the state of Michigan.

Representative Witwer is serving her third term in the Michigan House of Representatives. She began her professional life working in clinical health care and later went on to become manager of Sparrow Hospital’s community relations and marketing department. After 22 years working in health care, she co-founded a public relations, marketing, and advocacy group. Representative Witwer received her bachelor’s degree in business and marketing from Northwood University.

She represents the 76th House District in mid-Michigan. The district includes much of Eaton County, including Charlotte, Olivet, Potterville, and Eaton Rapids, and portions of Lansing and Grand Ledge, among several townships.
