Primary Election Overview: 64th District

Through the primary election on August 6, we will highlight races for which the primary is the key race due to the voter base. The candidate’s website, professional information, and a sample of known endorsements are listed when available. 

District Overview

The 64th House District is located in Sanilac and St. Clair counties.

Commentary

Republican Representative Andrew Beeler is not running for reelection, leaving this seat open. The district is viewed as Republican-leaning, thus, both the primary and general elections will be important to watch.

    • Jorja Baldwin – Vice Chair on the St. Clair County Board of Commissioners, former Fort Gratiot Supervisor.
    • Gary Eisen – Former state representative.
    • Dan Geiersbach
    • Ryan Maxon – Real estate agent, former legislative staffer.
    • Joseph Pavlov – High school teacher and family member of former State legislator Phil Pavlov.
