District Overview:

The district includes portions of Lapeer, Tuscola, Genesee, and Saginaw Counties.

After serving 14 years in the Legislature, Republican Senator Kevin Daley is term-limited from running for reelection. While the district has a 55.4% Republican base, during the last Senate election in 2022, the Republican candidate for the seat received 62% of the vote.

Republican Candidates:

    • Daltson Atwell – Small business owner.
    • Matthew Bierlein – State Representative, small business owner, former Tuscola County Commissioner, and legislative staffer.
    • James Graham
    • Gabriel Lossing – Veteran and farmer.
    • Candice Miller
