Third-party presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will be removed from Michigan’s general election ballot this November following legal challenges this week.

Key Points:

    • Kennedy was running for president under the Natural Party.
    • He recently announced he was withdrawing and would support former President Trump.
    • Following his decision, he wanted to be removed from ballots, concerned he would take votes away from Trump.
    • Citing state law, the Bureau of Elections said his name wouldn’t be removed from the ballot.
    • Kennedy challenged the decision in the Court of Claims. This week, a Judge denied his request to have his name taken off the general election ballot.
    • On Friday, the Michigan Court of Appeals disagreed with the Court of Claims and held that Mr. Kennedy should be removed from the ballot.
