Meet the New Member: Representative Ron Robinson

As MLC’s Communications and Social Media Manager, Liz Gullett keeps clients informed and up-to-date on the goings on in Lansing and the Capitol.

Representative Ron Robinson (R-Utica) is serving his first term in the Michigan House of Representatives.

Biography

He owns two small businesses, one for drone video production and the other as a realtor. Prior to his election to the House, he served on the Utica City Council. Representative Robinson is a Marine Corps Veteran, having served from 1989 through 1993 as a Military Policy Officer.

District

Representative Robinson represents the 58th House District, which includes Utica and portions of Sterling Heights, Warren, and Shelby Charter Township.

    • What’s your favorite travel destination outside of Michigan?
      • A – St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands and Cancun, Mexico. However, my most recent and interesting trip was to Colombia.
    • What’s your favorite hobby other than politics?
      • A – I love riding my bike and boating.
    • What did you want to be when you were a kid?
      • A – A professional baseball player.
    • What’s your favorite game to play or sport to watch and/or play?
      • A – I played baseball and basketball growing up. I enjoy watching the NFL and MLB.
