Looking Ahead to the Week of January 13 – 19, 2024

As MLC’s Communications and Social Media Manager, Liz Gullett keeps clients informed and up-to-date on the goings on in Lansing and the Capitol.

In observance of MLK Day, MLC will be closed on Monday, January 15. State offices will also be closed that day.

The House is resuming its typical Tuesday – Thursday session schedule, the Senate is scheduled to hold session on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Michigan Public Service Commission will hold its first regular commission meeting of the year on January 18 at 1:00 p.m. For more information, please click here.

All legislation that was passed during 2023 that didn’t receive immediate effect will take effect on February 12, which is 90 days after the legislature adjourned Sine Die.
