Acting Department Director Named

As MLC’s Communications and Social Media Manager, Liz Gullett keeps clients informed and up-to-date on the goings on in Lansing and the Capitol.

Aaron Keatley will serve as acting director of the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy. He fills the role following the departure of Dan Eichinger, who was serving as acting director.

 Background:

Mr. Keatley served as chief deputy director at EGLE prior to taking this role. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in wildlife and fisheries management from Michigan State University and a Master of Public Administration Degree from the University of Kentucky.

EGLE is responsible for the protection of Michigan’s environment and public health by managing air, water, land, and energy resources.

Next Steps:

Governor Whitmer will announce a permanent director for EGLE in the coming weeks.
