District Overview

The 56th House District is located in Oakland County, including Clawson, Royal Oak, and a portion of Troy. 

Commentary

Democratic Representative Sharon MacDonell is running for a second term in this Democratic-leaning district. This November she will face Republican Dave Kniffen with both campaigning to represent this southeast Michigan seat next year.
