District Overview
The 54th House District is located in Oakland County, including Bloomfield and portions of Auburn Hills.
Commentary
This southeast Michigan seat is viewed as a toss-up due to the district base. Representative Steele is running for a second term in the House. This November, she will face political newcomer, Shadia Martini, as both parties work to hold a majority in the House next year.
Democratic Candidate:
- Shadia Martini – Owns a real estate brokerage firm, construction company, and medical spa.
Republican Candidate:
- Representative Donni Steele – State Representative, worked in real estate, including roles as owner, associate broker, manager, and realtor, as well as a former Orion Township Treasurer and Trustee.
