- Public interviews by the Board are tentatively scheduled for the week of August 18.
- The Board will select finalists to interview the following week, with the goal of selecting the preferred candidate by August 26.
- Then the Board will negotiate a contract with a preferred candidate, and a deep background check will be completed.
- The formal appointment would occur at the September 9 State Board of Education meeting.
