Governor Whitmer will describe policy priorities for the fall in the ‘What’s Next Address’ on August 30th.

Key Points:

  • After 100 days, she will update the public on future goals, such as lowering costs, expanding opportunity, and protecting people’s fundamental rights.
  • This plan includes an initiative to make the Michigan market more competitive by creating good-paying jobs and bringing back supply chains to Michigan.
  • The governor outlines the progress made in the last 100 days: rolling back the retirement tax, securing investments from GM to create jobs, repealing the 1931 abortion ban, expanding the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act, investing in community revitalization projects, and ensuring collective bargaining rights for workers.
