The State of Michigan is hosting a number of conferences this fall and winter, which are open to interested stakeholders to participate.
Great Lakes Drinking Water Conference:

- This will take place September 25 – 26 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi.
- It’s sponsored by the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy.
- Speakers include experts from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Great Lakes Water Authority, among others.

The Michigan Community Service Commission Statewide Conference:

- The conference will be held on September 26 at the Lansing Center.
- Participants will have the opportunity to explore ways to improve community engagement and service delivery through enhancing organizational management, accessing resources, improving workforce development strategies, and engaging volunteers and AmeriCorps members.
- There will be two preconference activities taking place on September 25: a listening tour session from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Lansing Center and a networking session from 5 – 7 p.m. at Lansing Brewing Company.

Great Lakes Environmental Emergency Response and Management Conference:

- This conference will be held February 11 – 12, 2025 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi.
- It’s sponsored by the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy.
- This conference will provide networking and training opportunities to the emergency management and spill response community within the Great Lakes Region.
- Interested parties can submit presentation proposals through September 22, 2024.
- Registration for participants will be announced in the coming months.
