As MLC’s Communications and Social Media Manager, Liz Gullett keeps clients informed and up-to-date on the goings on in Lansing and the Capitol.

Senator Kevin Hertel (D-St. Clair Shores) chairs the Health Policy Committee and the Military, Veterans, State Police Appropriations Subcommittee. Additionally, he serves as vice chair of the Transportation Appropriations Subcommittee and the Veteran’s and Emergency Services Committee. He’s a member of the following committees: Appropriations, Energy and Environment, PreK-12 Appropriations Subcommittee, Regulatory Affairs, and Transportation and Infrastructure.

Senator Hertel is serving his first term in the Michigan Senate after serving in the Michigan House of Representatives. Prior to public office, he was a legislative analyst at special assistant in the office of the president at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan.

He represents the 12th Senate District in Southeast Michigan.
