Senator Jeremy Moss (D-Southfield) serves as the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, having been chosen by his peers to serve in this leadership position. In addition to that leadership role, he chairs the Elections and Ethics Committee and the Regulatory Affairs Committee. Senator Moss sits on the following committees: Economic and Community Development, Government Operations, and Local Government.
Prior to his election in the Senate, he was elected to the Michigan House of Representatives, serving as the Democratic Caucus Whip. Additionally, he served as the youngest-ever elected official on the Southfield City Council.
He represents the 7th Senate District located in Oakland and Wayne Counties.
