Spotlight on Senator Dayna Polehanki

As MLC’s Communications and Social Media Manager, Liz Gullett keeps clients informed and up-to-date on the goings on in Lansing and the Capitol.

Senator Dayna Polehanki (D-Livonia) chairs the Education Committee and serves as vice chair on the Regulatory Affairs Committee and the PreK-12 Appropriations Subcommittee. Additionally, she serves on the following committees: Economic and Community Development, Energy and Environment, Natural Resources and Agriculture, and Oversight.

Senator Polehanki is serving her second term in the Michigan Senate. Prior to her election, she was a teacher.

She represents the 5th Senate District in Wayne County, including Canton Township, Garden City, Inkster, and Westland, and a portion of Livonia.
