Representative Veronica Paiz (D-Harper Woods) is the Vice Chair of the Agriculture Committee. Additionally, she’s a member of the following committees: Higher Education; Local Government and Municipal Finance; and Natural Resources, Environment, Tourism, and Outdoor Recreation.
Representative Paiz is serving her first term in the Michigan House of Representatives. She previously served on the Harper Woods City Council. Prior to elected office, Representative Paiz was a community arts coordinator for Focus: HOPE and executive director of Casa de Unidad. She’s an artist, whose work has been exhibited at the Detroit Institute of Art.
She represents the 11th House District in St Clair Shores, Harper Woods, and parts of Detroit’s eastside.
