House Republican Leader Matt Hall is serving his third term in the Michigan House of Representatives and his first as Republican Leader after being elected to the leadership role by his peers.
Throughout his time in the House, he’s held a number of leadership roles, including chair of the House Oversight Committee chair and the Joint Select Committee on the COVID-19 Pandemic, and Republican Caucus chair.
Prior to his time in office, Representative Hall served as the West Michigan liaison of the Michigan Department of Attorney General and worked in the private sector for a combat vehicle propulsion manufacturer. He earned his Juris Doctor from WMU-Cooley Law School and graduated from Western Michigan University’s Haworth College of Business.
Republican Leader Hall represents the 42nd House District in southwest Michigan. The district includes portions of Allegan and Kalamazoo counties.
