Primary Election Overview: 22nd House District

Through the primary election on August 6, we will highlight races for which the primary is the key race due to the voter base. The candidate’s website, professional information, and a sample of known endorsements are listed when available.

District Overview

The 22nd House District is located in Wayne County, including Plymouth and portions of Livonia and Northville.

Commentary

This district is considered Democratic-leaning. Representative Matt Koleszar is running for a fourth term in the House, which is now allowed under the changes to Michigan’s term limit laws. He is facing one challenger in the primary race this August.
