New Season, New Possibilities

Living in Michigan, you get accustomed to the long, cold winters. In January the days are short and most Michiganders have not viewed the sun in months. It’s easy to think you’ll never make it to spring and summer. However, as you head into February, the first blossoms of spring begin to bud. One of the first signs that better weather is on the way is the pitchers and catchers reporting to spring training down south.

A new season brings with it a sense of possibility and hope, and spring training is the perfect time to get ready for fresh starts. During this period, athletes hone their skills and practice the fundamentals of the game so they can hit the field running when the real action begins. New beginnings are full of excitement and promise – we have the chance.

Spring training for baseball is always an exciting time of year. Whether your team plays in the Florida Grapefruit League or the Arizona Cactus League, baseball teams come together, and they build the foundation for the upcoming season and all its opportunities to come. With each pitch and hit, these teams lay the groundwork for a successful season.

So, now that spring training is in full swing (pun intended), spring and summer are just around the corner. Maybe this will be the year my beloved Tigers will turn it around and challenge for a pennant once again.
