Monica Martinez
Knowing how to reach key decision makers is vital and each day Monica brings that insider knowledge to advocate on behalf of our clients.

Prior to joining MLC, Monica founded a consulting firm focused on supporting major national associations, non-profits, coalitions, and energy related businesses. Before that, she served as commissioner on the Michigan Public Service Commission for six years, served as deputy director of legislative affairs under former Governor Jennifer Granholm, and was a senior policy analyst for the Senate Democratic Caucus.

Outside the Office
Monica lives in Lansing with her two adorable children, Ruben and Sarah, and her husband Chris.  When she can break away from being a fan at youth sports and school volunteering, she enjoys golfing, boating, and tennis.

With over twenty years working in all levels of state government, Monica brings a unique expertise to the firm. From her time advising on public policy and serving on the prestigious Michigan Public Service Commission, Monica has cultivated wide-ranging knowledge throughout many sectors, including the complex energy market and technology issues.
