Monica Martinez has been advocating for Michigan Legislative Consultants (MLC) as a lobbyist since 2021. She brings a rare combination of executive, legislative, and regulatory expertise to the firm, drawing on decades of experience at the highest levels of Michigan state government.

Political and Legislative Experience

Prior to joining MLC, Monica founded a consulting firm focused on supporting major national associations, non-profits, coalitions, and energy-sector businesses.

She previously served for six years as a Commissioner on the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC), held the role of Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs for former Governor Jennifer Granholm, and served as a Senior Policy Analyst for the Michigan Senate Democratic Caucus.
