Testimony was given in the House Finance Committee on legislation requiring that a detailed report be mailed annually to every taxpayer, outlining the state’s revenues and distribution.

The House Energy Committee heard testimony on a bipartisan package seeking to encourage nuclear energy generation in Michigan.

Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson announced that more than 318,000 inactive voter registrations are slated to be removed from Michigan’s voter rolls next month.

Legislation was introduced immediately reducing the state income tax rate to 4.05%, as of January 1, 2025.

Jason Palmer began his role as director of the Michigan Unemployment Agency, succeeding Julia Dale, who resigned in January.
