Juvenile Justice Advisory Council Kicks Off

As MLC’s Communications and Social Media Manager, Liz Gullett keeps clients informed and up-to-date on the goings on in Lansing and the Capitol.

Charged with improving the juvenile justice system, the Juvenile Justice Advisory Council held its first meeting this week.

Council Tasks:

    • Review department policy and practices.
    • Provide support to prior and current juvenile justice youth, adults, and their families.
    • Share their experiences and suggestions for how the system can be improved.
    • Review job training and skill development.
    • Look for improvements to residential facilities.
