“I Voted” Sticker Contest Launched

As MLC’s Communications and Social Media Manager, Liz Gullett keeps clients informed and up-to-date on the goings on in Lansing and the Capitol.

Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson announced the first-ever contest to redesign the well-known “I Voted” stickers handed out to voters when they go to the polls.

Key Points:

    • The contest is open to students enrolled in Michigan schools and Michigan residents.
    • The design contest has separate entry categories for elementary/middle schools (grades K-8), high school (grades 9-12), and general entry (open to residents of all ages).
    • Designs must be completed on an official entry form, nonpartisan, and include the phrase “I Voted.”
    • Entries are due by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, June 30.
    • The public will have the opportunity to vote for finalists online throughout the month of July.
    • Winners will be announced in August and receive special recognition from Secretary Benson.
