- Governor Whitmer has announced two state Transportation Economic Development Fund (TEDF) grants to support 1,525 new jobs and $3.5 billion of private investment in Chippewa and Oakland counties.
- The first grant is for the Oakland County Road Commission; Orion Township will see improvements in the traffic flow around the future General Motors plant location.
- The City of Sault Ste. Marie is the second grant recipient; the UP’s Carbide Dock Port will experience a smooth flow of commerce and tourism.
