Election Information Program Launched

As MLC’s Communications and Social Media Manager, Liz Gullett keeps clients informed and up-to-date on the goings on in Lansing and the Capitol.

Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson announced the 2024 Democracy Ambassador program, an initiative aimed at building trust in Michigan’s elections.

Key Points:

    • Voters can sign up to receive nonpartisan facts and resources for upcoming elections.
    • Participants will receive regular updates, information, fact sheets, shareable social media content, and other helpful resources.
    • The goal is to have them share that information within their communities to combat misinformation.

“Democracy is a team sport,” Secretary Benson said. “No matter where you live or who you vote for, our system relies on everyone knowing the facts about our elections. By serving as Democracy Ambassadors, Michigan citizens can get accurate, nonpartisan information, squash misinformation before it spreads, and serve as trusted messengers within their communities. Together we can strengthen everyone’s trust and faith in our secure elections this year and into the future.”
