Representative Jimmie Wilson, Jr. (D-Ypsilanti) is serving his second term in the Michigan House of Representatives.
Biography
He began his professional life as a licensed aircraft mechanic. Later, shifting to work at Siemens Energy, building wind turbines, and advancing to technical field advisor. After working in renewable energy around the country, Representative Wilson was an electrician at the Ford Motor Co. Rawsonville Plant. Representative Wilson was first elected to public office in 2016, serving two terms as a member of the Ypsilanti Township Board of Trustees.

Representative Wilson represents the 32nd House District, which includes Ypsilanti and Ypsilanti Township.
