Representative Brenda Carter (D-Pontiac) is serving her third term in the Michigan House of Representatives. She chairs the House Insurance and Financial Services Committee, which is a large committee with purview over a myriad of issues impacting Michigan residents each day. She also sits on the following committees: Tax Policy, Health Policy, and the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules.
Prior to her election to the House, Representative Carter worked on the Pontiac Community School Improvement team and assisted with the programming of the Pontiac Northern’s Huskie Brigade Robotics Team. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in organizational design and a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in local government.
She represents the 53rd House District in Oakland County.
