“Why invest in Southeastern Michigan?” “Why now?”  If you are a business interested in expanding or wanting to set a foundation, look no further than Southeast Michigan.  Navigating this region and understanding where businesses can grow and set a foundation is one of the many areas of expertise of MLC.  From Pontiac to Detroit many key investments have been made and more are continuing to advance businesses in Southeastern Michigan. Now is the right time!

Just look at Pontiac who, in large part to keep political leadership both at the municipal and county levels, is redeveloping its downtown. This is drawing in major development projects and establishing it as the heart of Oakland County.  One of those investments is moving county offices to Downtown Pontiac.  This move will bring about the demolishing of the Phoenix Center, a parking structure that divided Downtown Pontiac. This $120 million investment is in part due to one of the largest allocations from the State of Michigan, along with investment from Oakland County as well as the philanthropic community.

In Detroit, there has been unprecedented investment in public spaces, businesses, and the people. One only has to look at the Joe Louis Greenway, investment in public safety, environmentally sound policies such as EV charging, numerous parks that have been reinvested in, and the myriad of businesses that have relocated here to underscore it is the right time to invest in Detroit. The activated public spaces drew thousands in 2023. Also in 2023, the MotorCity Match, a program that provides resources for businesses to flourish and grow, welcomed 19 businesses into brick-and-mortar establishments.

Through renewed and invested public officials, along with these unprecedented investments, Southeastern Michigan is prime to attract and accelerate businesses. A business only needs strategic counsel and key connections to take part.  MLC has key connections with stakeholders and decades of experience navigating, which gives our clients the edge to seize opportunities within the area.  With dedicated staff, such as myself, who live, work, and play in Southeastern Michigan, we can assist any size organization.
