Governor Rick Snyder announced that Department of Talent and Economic Development (TED) Director Roger Curtis will be leaving state government effective September 30 for the private sector. He joined the Snyder administration as TED director in November 2016.
TED works to bring state job creation and economic development efforts together under one umbrella. The department includes the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, the Michigan State Housing Development Authority, the Michigan Land Bank Fast Track Authority, and the Talent Investment Agency.
According to his press release, Governor Snyder has not yet decided on either an interim or permanent appointment for the department director’s position.
