This week, the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) board unanimously approved former state Representative Earl Poleski as the new executive director. Prior to serving three terms in the Michigan House of Representatives, he was a certified public account. His appointment took effect on Thursday, February 23. “Given his extensive knowledge and real world experience in accounting, the former legislator will be a great addition to the housing authority,” said Tony Des Chenes of MLC.
Mr. Poleski replaces acting director Brian Mills, who was temporarily serving in the role after the prior executive director left following a judicial appointment. Mr. Mills will remain at the authority, serving as chief of staff.
MSHDA’s mission is to enhance “economic and community vitality through housing and historic preservation activities.”
